Review of the Implementation in Asia and the Pacific of the Resolutions Adopted by the United Nations Environment Assembly and Secretarial Functions

The Senior Officials' Meeting at the Sixth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific (APMF6) will review progress of the implementation of United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) resolutions in Asia and the Pacific. This session will also review the progress of other regional forums where the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the secretariat. This background paper has four main sections. The first section is the introduction. The second section provides an update on the implementation of selected resolutions in the Asia Pacific region. The third section presents secretarial functions of UNEP Asia and the Pacific Office. The fourth section provides information on the seventh session of UNEA (UNEA-7), scheduled to be held on 8-12 December 2025.
