Adaptation Gap Report 2024 - Annexes

This document provides a detailed technical foundation for the 2024 global assessment of climate change adaptation, offering transparent methodologies, data sources, and analytical frameworks used to evaluate adaptation planning, implementation, finance, capacity-building, and technology transfer. National policies and strategies are categorized using rigorous criteria to assess robustness, implementability, and inclusiveness. Annexes offer granular methodologies underpinning key report sections: Annex 2 covers adaptation planning (e.g., criteria for assessing NAPs), Annex 3 addresses implementation analysis (e.g., evaluations of adaptation projects and urban actions), Annex 4 focuses on the adaptation finance gap (e.g., funding sources, public finance flows), and Annex 5 details capacity-building and technology transfer through case studies and methodological tools. The annexes collectively support region- and sector-specific data, including adaptation finance gaps, sectoral investment estimates, and enabling environments for finance and technology.
