COMMENTS MADE BY COLOMBIA DURING THE INFORMAL CONSULTATIONS ON THE SECOND DRAFT OF THE UNEA6 MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

This document presents comments made by Colombia during informal consultations on the second draft of the UNEA6 ministerial statement, addressing specific paragraphs on women and girls, gender-responsive actions, Rio Principles, fair and equitable sharing of benefits from genetic resources, just and sustainable energy transition, and historically discriminated populations. It proposes language on reform of the global financial architecture and links to the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, International Monetary Fund and World Bank meetings, and UNEP’s Regional Seas Programme, while supporting references to global environmental crises and the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment in this ministerial process.
