Compilation of Decisions – 13th session of AMCEN held in Bamako, Mali in June 2010

This document compiles decisions adopted by African environment ministers at AMCEN’s thirteenth session in Bamako, June 2010. It directs the African Union Commission, UNEP and ECA, NEPAD’s agency, and regional economic communities to coordinate implementation of the NEPAD action plan. It reaffirms Africa’s climate-negotiation positions for the 2010 UNFCCC meetings, prioritizing adaptation, finance, technology transfer, and oversight. It requests revision of AMCEN’s constitution, sets member contribution and investment rules for the trust fund, and advances environmental education through a Pan-Africa e-learning network.
