Chair’s summary of the sixth United Nations Environment Programme Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific - Senior Officials segment

The Government of Fiji’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) jointly organized the sixth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific from 26-29 August 2025 in Nadi, Fiji. The Forum focused on the theme of the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) “Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet”. The Forum was attended by the following countries served by the UNEP Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific: Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, Republic of Korea, Lao PDR, Maldives, Mongolia, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, Niue, Pakistan, Palau, Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Viet Nam. Participants included High-Level Representatives of Governments, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations organizations, development partner organizations, and representatives of civil society groups.
