This Ministerial Declaration sets out how the world’s ministers for the environment, gathered at the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, aim to advance sustainable solutions for a resilient planet by reaffirming the Rio Declaration, the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, recognizing interconnected global environmental challenges, and deciding bold collective actions on pollution, circular economy, food systems, renewable energy, water, One Health, climate change, chemicals, waste, plastic pollution, marine biological diversity, biodiversity, land degradation, finance, gender equality, Indigenous Peoples, people of African descent, environmental governance, crimes that affect the environment and climate-related legal obligations.
