Draft Report - Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) On Plastic Pollution & The Role and Relevance of The Regional Seas Programme

This document has been prepared to provide a draft report for the Regional Seas Programme based on the available information both from the on-going INC process as well as the regional seas conventions and action plans for consideration at the 23rd meeting of the Regional Seas Programme to be held in November 2023. Based on feedback at the 23rd meeting, a more detailed report will be developed on the achievements of the Regional Seas Programmes together with an analysis of their contribution and potential role in supporting implementation of the agreement once adopted/ratified to be used for communicating as an information document for INC 4, UNEA 6, participating countries, and other UN member States.
