dc.descriptionThe project was a joint effort between UNEP, UN Regional Offices, DCPI, IETC, TEEB, Green Economy Initiative, CCAC, UNDP, CEM, UN-Habitat, International Law Commission, Special Rapporteur on Protection of the Atmosphere, FAO, CIEL, Natural Justice and academic /other expert institutions such as the IUCN Environmental Law Academy. As described in the project document, the primary aim of the project was to develop a coherent and effective international environmental law framework to guide and direct efforts by countries to address environmental concerns with an international dimension. This framework is essential for the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and to ensure effective responses to emerging and progressive issues identified by the Montevideo Programme IV mid-term review. The terminal evaluation has three primary purposes: ● Provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements. ● Promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, governments, international and national executing agencies. ● Highlight to past, present, and future project managers, beneficiaries, and external stakeholders the strengths and shortcomings of the project to promote transparency and focus for upcoming projects.en
