This report presents Antigua and Barbuda’s national strategy for implementing Global Environment Facility support during the 2012–2014 period. It was developed through a nationally led portfolio formulation exercise based on document review and consultations with government entities, statutory bodies, non-governmental organizations, educators, the private sector, and regional institutions. The document outlines the country’s environmental context, institutional arrangements, and funding constraints, and defines priority interventions aligned with international environmental commitments. The strategy focuses on biodiversity conservation through the establishment and management of protected areas, climate change mitigation through renewable energy and energy efficiency, and land degradation management mainly via regional initiatives. It specifies project modalities, indicative allocations, and implementation responsibilities within existing national structures.en
