Prepared through a structured assessment process, it examines regional environmental and socioeconomic conditions, identifies principal hazards such as glacier retreat, floods, droughts and changing precipitation patterns, and evaluates sectoral vulnerabilities in water, agriculture, energy, health, forestry and tourism. Drawing on scientific studies and policy reviews, it highlights projected glacier loss, altered run-off regimes, groundwater variability and rising disaster risks, alongside uneven policy coverage and limited transboundary cooperation. The analysis identifies gaps in sectoral adaptation measures and differences in how countries integrate mountain-specific hazards into national strategies.en
