National Gap Analysis in Implementing Article 7 and 15 under Stockholm Convention on POPs

Cambodia ratified the Stockholm Convention on 25 August 2006 and committed to fulfilling its obligations by taking measures to meet the Convention’s objectives. Article 7 requires Parties to update National Implementation Plans to address listed POPs, while Article 15 requires four-yearly National Reports on implementation progress. Despite some progress, Cambodia faces challenges due to limited quantitative data on POPs and difficulties completing the online reporting format. This report identifies overlaps and gaps between data required under Article 15 and other Stockholm Convention obligations and NIP processes, and presents conclusions and recommendations to better align reporting and NIP development in practice.
