The Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation organized this celebration in partnership with various departments, organisations, schools, and media outlets to promote environmental cleanliness and climate change reduction. The event included formal speeches, educational awareness sessions, video displays, quiz competitions, and practical demonstrations on the safe handling of flammable refrigerants. Over 250 participants attended the programme, which featured interactive display booths and the recognition of licensed waste operators through the presentation of certificates and shirts to acknowledge their contributions towards maintaining the local environment.en
