Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes was convened by the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) pursuant to decision 14/30, adopted by the Governing Council of UNEP on 17 June 1987.The Conference met at the European World Trade and Convention Center, Basel, with the kind support of the Government of the Swiss Confederation, from 20 to 22 March 1989
