This report is a Mid-term evaluation of a UNEP GEF project implemented between 2011 and 2016. The objective of the project was to transform production and business practices in cocoa producing countries and cocoa and chocolate companies such that they conserve biodiversity in cocoa production landscapes, provide greater long-term stability to the cocoa and chocolate industry and increase income for smallholders. The evolution was undertaken to analyse whether the project was on track, what problems or challenges the project was encountering, and what corrective actions were required.
