| dc.description | This document sets out a resolution adopted by Parties to an agreement on migratory waterbirds, aimed at avoiding additional and unnecessary mortality. It states that changes in mortality can affect population sizes, conservation status, and harvest potential. It identifies human-related sources of mortality, including illegal killing and trade, lead poisoning, pesticide and poison-bait impacts, incidental killing from agriculture and fisheries bycatch, oil and marine litter ingestion, collisions with power lines and wind turbines, and indirect effects from land-use and climate change. It urges Parties to prioritise existing guidance, supports relevant working groups, and encourages implementation of poisoning and illegal-killing measures. | en |
