Mandates for the Bern Process

This is a document that highlights the Mandates of the Bern Process ahead of the Bogis-Bossey Workshop on the Bern Process and the contribution of MEAs to the implementation of the KM-GBF that will be held in Bogis-Bossey, Switzerland, on 27 to 28 August 2025. The Bern Process originated from the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) COP decision 14/30, which called for a workshop on collaboration among the Parties to the biodiversity-related conventions. It also aligns with the decision 14/34, on a comprehensive and inclusive process for preparing the Global Biodiversity Framework.
