These Guidelines are a response to Resolution V/7 of the framework which requested draft guidelines for National Focal Points (NFPs) for consideration. They provide practical guidance on strengthening Focal Points’ capacity; promoting and coordinating multisectoral and multistakeholder collaboration; and supporting risk communication, dissemination and awareness- raising. They are intended to support implementation in a practical, flexible and nationally adaptable manner, recognizing that countries have different institutional arrangements, capacities and resources.
