Report of the Secretariat for the period 1 July 2010 to 31 August 2012 - African Ministerial Conference on the Environment Fourteenth session Meeting of the expert group

This document reports on activities undertaken by the AMCEN secretariat from 1 July 2010 to 31 August 2012 to update participants ahead of AMCEN’s fourteenth session on implementation of prior decisions, delivery of the biennial work programme, and related meetings. It reviews progress on nine decisions from the thirteenth session, including NEPAD environment action plan follow-up, climate change programming and negotiations support, constitutional alignment with evolving African Union structures, trust fund status, and initiatives on education, monitoring, information networks, access and benefit-sharing, and IPBES.
