Validated Terminal Review of the UNEP/GEF Project ‘Implementing adaptation technologies in the fragile ecosystems of Djibouti's central plains’ (GEF ID 5021) 2017-2022

This report is a management-led Terminal Review of a UNEP/GEF project implemented between 2017 and 2022. The project's overall development goal was to to increase the resilience of Djibouti's society and economy to the effects of climate change, and to strengthen the government's capacity to integrate adaptation into its development planning. The review sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability. The review has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, GEF and the relevant agencies of the Government of Djobouti.
