Terminal Evaluation of UNEP/GEF Project: ‘Cogen for Africa’

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP/GEF project: Cogen for Africa (GEF ID 2597) implemented between 2007 and 2018.The project's overall development goal was to transform the cogeneration industry in Eastern and Southern Africa into a profitable cogeneration market and promote the widespread implementation of highly efficient cogeneration systems by removing barriers to their application. The project was implemented in 7 countries - Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Sudan, Swaziland and Tanzania – over a period of 11 years starting in 2007.
