The project supported the design and implementation of an electronic system to record all chemical imports/exports and authorizations for entry into the country. The Directorate General of Customs worked together with other Government Institutions so as to create a one-stop-shop system. The public version of the system is not available yet. The reason for it is that, given the change in Government, the Technology Directorate requested to modify some criteria. The system is, however, operational internally and environmental quality officials have access to all movements of chemicals regulated by MEAs and to requests for imports.en
