This document summarises outcomes of the 2025 meetings of the conferences of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions held in Geneva from 28 April to 9 May with more than 2,200 participants representing Parties and observer organisations. The meetings focused on advancing the sound management of chemicals and wastes and adopted fifty five decisions, including several joint decisions. Outcomes include amendments and a new strategic framework under the Basel Convention, new technical guidance on persistent organic pollutant wastes, and work on textiles, electronic waste and plastics. The Rotterdam Convention listed additional hazardous pesticides, while the Stockholm Convention added industrial chemicals and pesticides to control lists. Ministers reaffirmed commitments to addressing pollution, biodiversity loss and climate change.
