dc.descriptionThe aerial survey of the destruction of Mt. Kenya, Imenti and Ngare Ndare forests was undertaken to provide a rapid systematic assessment and monitorable baseline information on these forests, as a sample to represent the other forests in the country. It was specifically carried-out in response to requests to Kenya Wildlife Service by various institutions, NGOs, including the Kenya Forests Working Group, conservationists and community groups.
