dc.descriptionThe 14th Global Meeting of the Regional Seas Conventions and Action Plans was held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1 to 3 October 2012. The meeting brought together representatives of Regional Seas Conventions and Action Plans and partner organisations to discuss shared priorities, including ecosystem-based management, the World Oceans Assessment, land-based sources of pollution and the implications of Rio+20. A key outcome was the adoption of the Regional Seas Strategic Directions for 2013–2016, providing a framework for strengthened collaboration and action across the Regional Seas Programme.
