| dc.description | The general objective of the baseline document is to collect and analyze available information on the current situation of dumpsites in the Latin American and Caribbean region, in order to contextualize the proposed roadmap for the closure of dumpsites, as well as the different activities and documents that the Coalition will develop. In this sense, the baseline compiles and analyzes available information on the presence and use of dumpsites in different countries of the region, the related impacts, as well as trends and examples of regulatory measures, plans and programs that have already been adopted for the closure of dumpsites, including specific experiences.
