Abstract
UNEP Global Mercury Partnership Waste Management Area (WMA) organised a two-part webinar series to address key issues related to mercury-contaminated steel from the oil and gas sector, including detection and analysis, treatment, disposal, and recycling. This is a compilations of the presentations made at the first webinar on 15 September 2026 focussing on how mercury contamination occurs, its detection and measurement, and associated environmental and occupational concerns.
