| dc.description | KAP studies can be approached using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Although quantitative methods are often used in KAP studies because of their generalizability, qualitative approaches are also very common. Qualitative research is explorative in nature, and although not generalizable, gains in-depth knowledge of the perceptions, stories, opinions and beliefs of the participants in the study. This KAPS employs both a quantitative and qualitative approach and was achieved through the use of a questionnaire that contained both closed-ended and open-ended questions. | en |
