Abstract

This document summarizes Africa’s engagement in the 2015 negotiation calendar, outlining milestones at UNGA, Addis, and COP21, and mapping how states and civil society coordinate positions. It details Africa’s negotiation architecture, including the AU’s HLC, the Africa Group bureau chaired by Liberia’s PR, and roles for G77/China, LDCs, statements by capitals. Civil society inputs are described through AWG, Beyond 2015, UNGLS/DESA, and volunteer-involving organizations. Guidance to AMCEN focuses on participation, integration across targets, means of implementation, Rio principles, and fatigue. The text highlights migration-linked HIV and TB in mining, calls for citizen-led review and people-centered indicators, and stresses gendered governance.
