Application to Global Mercury Partnership - Government of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Environment

This letter and annex present the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, under the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, as the submitting organisation to the United Nations Environment Programme Global Mercury Partnership. The document expresses interest in contributing particularly to the mercury air transport and fate research area and describes long-term atmospheric mercury monitoring at the Košetice Observatory, including manual sampling methods, analytical procedures, participation in international monitoring programmes, and planned implementation of automated measurement systems to strengthen data on mercury trends and transport.
