dc.descriptionThis final report documents an interlaboratory study assessing the comparability of atmospheric mercury measurements using the gold amalgamation trap method. The study involved distributing preloaded cartridges containing a fixed amount of gaseous elemental mercury to seven analytical laboratories, which measured mercury content under controlled conditions. Homogeneity and stability testing confirmed minimal variation in study items before and after distribution. Reported results showed low within-laboratory and between-laboratory variability, with relative standard deviations of around one per cent. Statistical analysis identified some systematic differences among laboratories, but overall comparability was considered good. The findings support the reliability of this method for atmospheric mercury surveys.en
