| dc.description | This document reports on an International Ozone Day event held on 19 September 2016 in Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. It records attendance from government agencies and civil society, with 110 participants. The deputy director general of the National Environmental Protection Agency, serving as Montreal Protocol focal point, inaugurated the ceremony and stressed commitments and collaboration to protect the ozone layer. A film clip and presentation outlined ozone depletion causes, ozone-depleting substances, and NEPA/NOU roles, including phase-out progress and HCFC reduction. The program ended with an identifier machine handover and a one-day training for customs officers with lectures and practical sessions. | en |
