dc.descriptionThis report is a Terminal Evaluation of the UNEP/GEF Project “Multi Country Project to Strengthen Institutional Capacities on LMO Testing in Support of National Decision Making” (GEF ID 5283), implemented between July 2017 and December 2022. The overall objective of the project was therefore to build and strengthen institutional and human capacities for the detection of LMOs to support national biosafety decision-making processes in selected countries in Southern Africa: Angola, DRC, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi and Mozambique. The evaluation had two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements, and (ii) to promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP, GEF and the relevant agencies of the project participating countries.en
