The aim of these case studies is therefore two-fold. First, they are intended to help support the implementation of RI in private equity through sharing best practice. But the second purpose is to help raise awareness that RI is ultimately a component of fiduciary duty. That is, the objective of RI is to contribute to improving long-term, risk-adjusted investment returns. The case studies are presented both from the perspective of private equity firms (General Partners) that want to build better companies (e.g. by reducing risk, improving operational efficiency, supporting strategy implementation, exploiting new market opportunities, etc…), and from the perspective of investors (Limited Partners) that are working with their General Partners in new ways.en
