dc.descriptionCambodia ratified the Vienna Convention on the Prevention of Ozone Layer and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Depleting the Ozone Layer in 2001 since then. Cambodia has joined the international community in celebrating the International Day for prevention of the Ozone Layer each year. In 1994 the United Nations designated 16 September as the official date for the annual observance. Since then, the day has been cerebrated worldwide to highlight the importance of protecting the ozone layer, which shields the earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation.en
