This report is a Mid-term evaluation of a UNEP-GEF project implemented between 2009 and 2013. The goal of the Global Solar Water Heating Market Transformation and Strengthening Initiative (GSWH) project is to accelerate global commercialization and sustainable market transformation of Solar Water Heating (SWH), thereby reducing the current use of electricity and fossil fuels for hot water preparation. The purpose of the MTE was to: provide evidence of results to date and of the likelihood of achievement of outcomes and impact in the future; and identify the challenges and risks the GSWH project faces in achieving its objectives, and recommend corrective actions needed for the project to achieve maximum impact and sustainability.
