dc.descriptionBased on the Secretariat note on preparation for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of UNEP (UNEP/SC/2020/10/5) dated 8 July 2020, and taking into account the discussions at the 150th meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives on 30 April 2020, the Joint Preparatory Retreat of the Bureaux of the UNEA and of the CPR on 9-10 June 2020, the meeting of the CPR subcommittee on 14 July 2020, and at the 7th meeting of the annual subcommittee 12-16 October, as well as the decision by the UNEA Bureau on 8 October to organize a two-step UNEA-5, the Secretariat has prepared a draft strategic plan for the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of UNEP, including a number of concrete proposals and approaches for the period February 2021 – February 2022.en
