Globally, workers face significant health and safety risks from exposure to hazardous chemicals in various industries. Lack of or inadequately enforced OSH legal frameworks can exacerbate these risks, leading to preventable illnesses, injuries, and fatalities, and hindering the safe and sustainable management of chemicals. Strengthening these frameworks is crucial for protecting workers' rights, promoting decent work, and contributing to the GFC's objectives.en
