dc.descriptionThis report examines the policy, regulatory and business environment influencing the transition to a green economy across agriculture, manufacturing and tourism sectors in Kenya. It reviews existing strategies, institutional frameworks and sector performance, highlighting structural characteristics such as reliance on small-scale production, limited resource efficiency and weak inter-firm linkages. The analysis identifies key gaps including low awareness of sustainable practices, inadequate financing, weak enforcement of standards and limited integration of environmental considerations in sector policies . It further assesses opportunities for improving productivity, competitiveness and environmental performance through resource efficiency, cleaner production and capacity building, while outlining cross-cutting barriers affecting implementation and sector-wide adoption.en
