Progress in Addressing Marine Litter in Korea: Recent Policies and Efforts to Protect the Marine Environment from Marine Litter

This presentation introduces the focus and objectives of Korea's “3rd National Marine Litter Management Plan (2019-2023)” (currently being developed), while taking into account lessons learned during the implementation of the 2nd National Marine Litter Management Plan (2014-2018). It also discusses recent projects to combat marine litter at the national level and current issues facing marine litter in Korea.
