The meeting was organized by the Secretariat for the Nairobi Convention at the kind invitation of the Government of Kenya. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the Nairobi Convention’s Work Programme and the decisions of the Seventh Conference of Parties (COP7) that was held on 10 to 14 December 2012 in Maputo, Mozambique including a discussion of national reports. A total of 38 participants were in attendance (See Annex 1 for list of participants). The meeting was chaired by the Government of Tanzania with the assistance of the Secretariat of the Nairobi Convention.
