NO This chapter builds on the framework laid out in chapter 2 to synthesize the overarching findings of chapters 3–6 and provide a more comprehensive and multifaceted understanding of adaptation progress at the global level. It does this by focusing on the progress being made across the planning, finance and implementation dimensions of adaptation at the national level and in terms of multilateral and bilateral cooperation (chapters 3–5), as well as considering the lessons learned from the deployment of nature-based solutions (chapter 6). The chapter discusses the overarching conclusions that this Adaptation Gap Report (AGR) can draw regarding global progress on adaptation and emerging perspectives to improve global tracking of adaptation actions and results through the lens of the categories introduced in chapter 2, for example, evidence of adaptation progress; identification of gaps; and elements that constrain the interpretation of findings.
