However, the Disaster Waste Management Act 2011 and the Natural Calamity Relief Act 1982 is most favorable to disaster waste management as there are provisions that allow the formulation of necessary rules and by-laws to deal with disaster waste management. While formulating the policy and bylaws there is a need to clearly specify the roles and responsibility of the different wings within the government hierarchy in relation to disaster waste management.
