NO This report presents an evidence-based assessment of Ireland’s environment, evaluating conditions across themes including climate change, water quality, air quality and emissions, waste, chemicals, land, soil, biodiversity and environmental noise. It examines environmental quality, pressures, impacts and responses, concluding that conditions are relatively good but increasingly strained by economic growth, demographic change and rising resource use. It also outlines issues such as water pollution, habitat decline, emissions growth and increasing waste generation.
