RT Report T1 Protecting the Ozone Layer Volume 5: Aerosols, Sterilants, Carbon Tetrachloride and Miscellaneous Uses A1 United Nations Environment Programme, K1 ozone layer K1 aerosol K1 carbon tetrachloride SN 92-807-1356-6 YR 1992 FD 1992 LK https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29497 UL https://wedocs.unep.org/handle/20.500.11822/29497 NO The use of ozone-depleting substances in industry increased significantly until about 1990. The result has been serious depletion of the ozone layer. New data have recently revealed that the hole in the Antarctic ozone layer which appears each spring is now larger than was originally calculated, and there is evidence of a similar hole beginning to form over the Arctic. The serious implications this has for life on earth and human health have resulted in global action to protect the stratospheric ozone layer. DS UN Environment Document Repository RD Sep 17, 2026
