Article 15 of the Constitutive Act spells out the responsibilities of these committees, which include developing programmes and projects in their respective fields for submission to the Executive Council of the African Union; following up, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of Council decisions that are relevant to their respective mandates; and make recommendations to the Council for action.
