It examines the everyday mobility realities of people who rely on active transport, highlights examples of effective practice, and identifies challenges affecting safety, health, and accessibility. The report argues for prioritising walking and cycling within urban transport planning to support equitable, low-carbon development and provides recommendations for governments and other stakeholders to improve, protect, and expand sustainable transport networks.
