NO The goal of this document is to provide guidance for stakeholders on conducting rapid assessments of mercury contamination risks to the environment and human health from artisanal and small scale gold mining (ASGM). Such assessments function to evaluate the potential risks of mercury contamination to the environment and human health and build on information gained from previously conducted baseline studies on mercury use and practices employed by ASGM.
