The objective of the project was to reduce the risks to environment and human health from the anthropogenic releases of mercury and contribute to the development of and the adoption of the Minamata Convention in 2013. The Terminal Evaluation was undertaken at completion of the project to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability.
