Al-Mizan also highlights the importance of culture and religion in driving behavioural change, along with scientific, technical and political solutions. The first draft of Al-Mizan was shared with more than 300 Islamic institutions and international partners for feedback and consultation. The core team appreciates the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders for their valuable revision of the Arabic version. Al-Mizan is a historical document that represents the collective voice of the Islamic community on environmental issues. It calls on all Muslims to embrace sustainability in their daily lives and work together to protect our common home. DS UN Environment Document Repository RD Sep 16, 2026
