The study applies over-the-counter and online market surveys alongside laboratory analysis using spectrometry and chromatography methods to detect chemical content. Findings indicate limited availability of previously reported hazardous products and show that analysed samples contained very low mercury levels and no detectable hydroquinone. The report also highlights discrepancies in earlier studies, the influence of market conditions, and the importance of accurate analytical monitoring and public information dissemination.
